The games don't ignore religion too, and that's fantastic because much of the life back them was around faith and spirituality, I love how can you do offering to the Gods, each one with their benefits and costs. I love how you have to pay attention to the needs of each civilization, and it ranges from higiene, to medicine, to spiritual. The games break down these very complex and fascinating civilizations in a plethora of entertaining game systems. Zeus, Pharaoh and Emperor are masterpieces of the strategy genre. should have been like in terms of gameplay. I feel like this game is everything that Zeus, Caesar, Pharaoh, etc. It also has a beautiful isometric art style. It's set over the course of ancient Chinese history, and its gameplay consists of a much more refined, streamlined version of the same game mechanics that appear in the other entries of the series. It's also one of the best, if not the best, city builder games I've ever played. It's by far the best, most polished entry in that series. I downloaded it and played it for hours every day for a few months until I'd exhausted the campaigns.
However, I'd never heard of Emperor until a friend recommended it last year. I love city builders, I enjoyed Pharaoh as a child, and I had heard people talk about some of the other games in the City Building series, especially Caesar and Zeus.
